Brief

To create another version from the original Currys dummy packaging. Also to introduce new elements such as the Stream puck and new RTBs.

Process

Opportunity

I spotted an opportunity to add more Sky Stream content, for example when you buy a cinema pack with Stream you can get free cinema tickets. Plus if you buy a sports pack you can watch exclusive Sky only content and telling the customer that there are also bundles with Broadband and Stream.

Research

I started off researching as well as collaborating with the producer to find out how Sky’s content is shown on packaging to understand the best way to do this. We then found a Stream content image with the example of Sky entertainment, movies and sports imagery, but as we already featured these on the sides. I created another version showing Sky, Netflix and Paramount content to combine the RTBs of one subscription of Sky and Netflix as well as the many apps you can browse.

Reflection

As this project is ongoing, a challenge that I faced was trying to find the best spot on the packaging to showcase the content. But I’m going to continue trialing and also print testing to see what works. If I was to add anything else I would maybe add in another app’s content.
